MAYHEM Re-Sign With SEASON OF MIST RECORDS

Norwegian black metallers MAYHEM have re-signed with Season Of Mist Records for the release of their new album, "Chimera". The CD will be recorded at a mobile studio in the mountains of Norway during November/December and is scheduled for release during March 2004.

According to an official press release from the label, the forthcoming CD will not be as "daring" as 2000's "Grand Declaration of War" but will instead see the group going back to the band's "darker times."

" 'Chimera' will be a résumé of all our previous albums, the band said in a statement. "But one thing is sure: it's going to be black metal. No more fooling around. We proved ourselves creative and ahead of the rest with 'GDOW'. With 'Chimera', we are taking back the throne that is ours."

Among the tracks set to appear on the upcoming CD are the following:
